The Kelly Group is pleased to announce that Katherine Kelly has been elected to the Board of the Harford Community College Foundation, Inc. Her board position is for a three-year term through June 2027.

On June 17 – 18, The Kelly Group’s Service and Operations Team traveled to Providence, R.I. to collaborate with our designated service team at Fidelity Investments.

Kelly Group’s Founding Partner Bryan Kelly was pleased to participate in the 2024 Coaches vs. Cancer Golf Tournament on June 9th and 10th at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, NY.

The Kelly Group Partner Chad Arrington, CFP® recently attended PIMCO's June annual due diligence meeting at their headquarters in Newport Beach, California. PIMCO shared their optimistic outlook on bonds/fixed income and how they approach active management in this space.

Partner Chad Arrington, CFP® attended the Harford County Chamber of Commerce's Annual Dinner & Gavel Exchange on Thursday, June 20th. He was recognized for completing two consecutive 3-year terms on the Board of Directors.

The Kelly Group was proud to sponsor and participate in the 2nd Annual Freedom 5K hosted by the Harford NAACP. The event was held on Saturday, June 15th at the Ma & Pa Trail beginning at Annie’s Playground in Fallston. The funds raised will assist the organization in their mission of equity and fairness in Harford County. Representing The Kelly Group were Anika Jones and Michele Wolbert.

On June 12th, financial advisor Jodi Davis and her husband Mark celebrated with their grandson Drew as he graduated from 5th grade. Drew and his classmates all donned sunglasses at the end of the event to show the world that “their future is bright”. Congratulations Drew!

On Wednesday, June 12th, Bryan Kelly attended the Inaugural Induction Ceremony of the Harford Sports Hall of Fame hosted by the Historical Society of Harford County. The event honored an incredible list of accomplished local Olympians, World Champions, world record holders, professional and collegiate athletes, coaches, and more.

Rick Fletcher, who sits on the board of directors of the Harford Land Trust, had a rewarding weekend starting on Friday, June 7th, by honoring the retirement of Bill Amoss, a respected Harford County resident renowned for his contributions to our county and its land preservation.

On Thursday, June 6th, Financial Planner Jacob Adkins, CFP®, was joined by his family and several of his Kelly Group colleagues as he graduated from the 2024 Harford Leadership Academy. The Academy (HLA), co-sponsored by Harford Community College and Harford Country Chamber of Commerce, was created over thirty years ago to promote the development of emerging and existing leaders within Harford County.

Bryan Kelly and Chad Arrington participated in a second Golf Fore Africa fundraiser on Monday, June 3, 2024 at LedgeRock Golf Club in the 2024 Pennsylvania Pro-Am, sponsored by The Kelly Group. Their foursome was paired with LPGA pros Gina Kim and Ally Ewing. All monies raised from the event will help bring clean water to children and families in Africa.

On Saturday, June 1st, The Kelly Group was one of the lead sponsors of the Char Hope Foundation’s “Rocking for Recovery” event held at The Vineyard Farm in Bel Air.

Char Hope combines the 12 steps of addiction recovery with agricultural literacy, helping women get back on their feet while engaging in hands-on learning opportunities including homesteading, commodity marketing, gardening, equine therapy and exposure to general farm life.

Congratulations to Jason Bertrand, son of Michael Bertrand and Denise Bertrand, on graduating from Towson University, earning a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Animal Behavior.

On Wednesday, May 22, esteemed local attorney Albert J.A. “Jay” Young was honored with the 2024 Harford County Good Scout Award from the Boys Scouts of America Baltimore Area Council. The recognition is presented to those who consistently embody the fundamental principles of the Boy Scouts of America in their everyday lives, as articulated in the Scout Oath and Law.

On Tuesday, May 21, members of The Kelly Group team participated in the Harford County Chamber of Commerce mini-golf tournament hosted by the Chamber’s Young Professionals Group. The event not only showcased our team's golfing prowess but also contributed to a noble cause, raising an impressive $3,000 to be awarded to Harford County students.

On Wednesday, May 16th, the Kelly Group had the honor of hosting New York Times best-selling author, Morgan Housel as he discussed the philosophy and insights from his books “The Psychology of Money” and “Same as Ever” with an audience of community leaders and guests during two sessions at Maryland Golf & Country Clubs.

On May 15th, members of The Kelly Group attended the Financial Planning Association of Maryland’s Annual Symposium in Columbia, Maryland. Attendees gained valuable insights from keynote speaker, Morgan Housel, partner at The Collaborative Fund and New York Times bestselling author.
