The Kelly Group Supporting Our Community at the 4-H Livestock Auction

Supporting young farmers

The Kelly Group always looks forward to the 4-H livestock auction at the Harford County Farm Fair. It’s an exciting event that highlights the tremendous time and effort dedicated young adults invest in raising quality and marketable farm animals. The auction both encourages the youngsters’ agricultural pursuits and fosters a deep sense of community.

At this year’s auction, which took place on Saturday, July 27, The Kelly Group was well represented. Team members attending were Bryan Kelly, Rick Fletcher, Carrie Anderson, and Emily Smith. The Kelly Group purchased animals raised by Ava Grabowski, Mia Sadowski, Hunter Smith, Charlotte Smithson, and Erin Webb. We then donated several of the animals to local charities.

In addition, Carrie’s son, John, showed his one-year-old dairy steer, Hank, who placed 4th, 5th, and 6th in various shows. What a great achievement for John’s first year participating in the Fair!
