When it comes to Chad’s role in servicing and delivering value to clients, he emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and prioritizing where time is spent. He strives to streamline all internal processes and technologies so that the team has more time for engaging conversations and meaningful interactions with clients. He believes that the firm’s greatest value to clients is to help them save time, which in return enables them to concentrate on what matters most to them both personally and professionally. Chad is dedicated to cultivating lifelong relationships, providing our clients ongoing access to trustworthy fiduciary advice on all financial aspects of their lives, and focusing on ultimate outcomes. 

A partner in The Kelly Group, Chad also serves as a financial advisor and Director of Services and Operations. With a mission to carry on the founding partners’ vision of a 100-year firm, Chad is passionate about building a multigenerational team to help guide young professionals, individuals, and families on the path to understanding money and achieving their financial and life goals. He is particularly committed to working with business owners and executives on their retirement, succession, estate, legacy, and charitable planning.

Chad joined The Kelly Group in 2010 directly after graduating from Virginia Tech’s CFP® Certification Education Track, a nationally recognized curriculum that prepares students for a career in comprehensive financial planning. To further his dedication to the profession. Chad obtained his CFP® designation and completed a MS in financial services (MSFS) with a concentration in advanced financial planning through the American College of Financial Services. In addition, he graduated from Class 6 (2021-22) of The Ensemble Practice G2 Leadership Institute.

Chad is past president of the Financial Planning Association of Maryland and continues to serve on their Board of Directors. He also serves on the Harford County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation’s NextGen Leadership Council, and the Greater Bel Air Community Foundation Board of Directors. Chad is Chair of the Professional Roundtable of Harford County Networking Group and a member of the Bel Air Business Opportunity Network.

Chad lives in Churchville with his wife, Daria, three young daughters, and two dogs.
