General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer
Anika serves as general counsel and chief compliance officer at The Kelly Group, where she plays a crucial role in ensuring the firm’s corporate compliance program is understood, followed, and consistently demonstrated at all levels. Guided by industry regulations and a strong commitment to ethics, as part of the firm’s senior leadership team, Anika fosters collaboration across the organization to maintain a standard of excellence.
With over 20 years of experience in the securities industry, Anika’s expertise spans across legal counsel and compliance leadership. Prior to joining The Kelly Group, she founded RIA Gateway Compliance, LLC, where she provided practical compliance solutions and risk management strategies for registered investment advisors. Before that, Anika served as Vice President and Counsel at Morgan Stanley, advising the wealth management division on broker-dealer and investment-advisory customer sales practice violations, as well as handling regulatory inquiries stemming from customer complaints.
Anika’s previous roles also include senior positions at Campbell & Company, an alternative asset manager and registered investment adviser, where she provided guidance on compliance, regulatory issues, corporate governance, risk management, prime brokerage, and vendor management. As a senior member of the compliance team, she played an instrumental role in establishing, implementing, and testing policies and procedures to ensure the firm’s compliance program was both effective and efficient.
Anika holds a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law, as well as both a BS and MS in Sociology from St. John’s University. She is an active member of the National Society of Compliance Professionals and the Maryland State Bar Association. Anika is also committed to her community, serving on the board of directors and volunteering for the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, and serving as a member of the board of trustees for The Good Shepherd Church of God in Christ.
Residing in Towson, MD, Anika enjoys hiking, antiquing, and upcycling. She is also a proud and active mom for her children’s traveling baseball, track, and basketball teams. Anika lives with her husband, JaMarr Jones, their children Braxton and Payton, and their beloved boxer, Lucky.
